ABOUT OPHA's PAGAN PRIDE DAY Pagan Pride Festival was first brought to Oklahoma in 2004 by OPHA. This was Oklahoma's first Pagan Pride Day, and while being hosted in Tulsa, there was support from throughout the State. Last year there were over 600 people in attendance and we hope to see even more attendance for 2010! Pagan Pride Festival is open to anyone with a desire to come together in peaceful understanding of the world's diverse religious backgrounds. Pagan Pride is a great opportunity for those who wish to see more of the various Pagan and Heathen Paths that are available. It is not JUST for Pagans. It is for anyone who wants to learn more and who is promoting tolerance and diversity. LOCAL COMMUNITY OPHAs Pagan Pride day also supports the Northeast Oklahoma Food Bank. Each year during Pagan pride the cost of admission is absolutely free with the exception of bring cans of food or other non-perishable items that will be donated to the food bank. Last year OPHA Pagan Pride Day efforts raised
over 500 pounds of food. Each year the amount of food we
dontate through this event gets larger and larger and this year we
want to break all previous records! So come out, spend the day and
dont forget your cans of food.
VOLUNTEERS and SUPPORT We can use ALL THE SUPPORT AND VOLUNTEERS we can get! We have positions open for PPD volunteers to help us setup, teardown and support the event during the weekend. In addition we also have volunteer positions on many of our fundraising committees and fundraising events. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer, PLEASE email us at VP-Program Activities. In addition we also have a need for donated items for our fundraising events. Items such as pagan/heathen oriented books or paranormal/supernatural romance of adventure novels are used to help raise money. In addition we need items donated for our silent auctions and our OPHA garage sale fundraisers. If you have any items that you would like to donate it would be greatly appreciated.
